A number of personnel moves highlighted a short meeting Thursday of the Russellville City Board of Education.
Personnel moves approved by the board included:
--Temporary Employment: Christie Bostick, Presley Cantrell, Liza Scott and Emily Rush, 21st CCLC teachers (part-time and as needed).
--Employment in Position: Melissa Espinoza, EL Aide.
--Resignation in Position: Kelby Daniel, Assistant Principal at West Elementary School; Pedro Francisco, EL Aide.
--Transfer in Position: Monica Moon, from instructional technology facilitator to Assistant Principal, WES.
--Athletic Consultant: Bryant Bonds to be a pro consult for the RHS football team. Maximum payment shall not exceed $1,380 to be paid by the Football Booster Club.
--Volunteers for the 2017-18 Athletic Program: Terry Prince, varsity football and John Alex Foster, RMS football.
--School Resource Officer: Mark Swindle, SRO at WES.
In other action, the board:
--Approved facility use requests for RHS Auditorium on Sept. 10 & 11, 2017, for Russellville First Baptist Church to host an Apologetics Educational Event; RHS track on October 28, 2017, to host a 5k to benefit the RCS Education Foundation.
--Approved the following contracts: Bridges Behavior Therapy & Counseling for Behavioral Analytic Services for 2017-18; Bragwell Services, LLC, for Mental Health Professional Services; Counseling, Evaluation and Consultation Services for Psychometric Services, Leslie Murphy for Therapy Services and Stepping Stone Pediatric Therapy for Occupational Therapy Services.
--Approved trip requests for all athletic teams for the 2017-18 school year and RHS HOSA for a trip to Montgomery February 21-23 for the annual HOSA State Competition.
--Revised Policy 5.10.5(b) to recognize teaching experience outside of Russellville City Schools for purposes of calculating pay scale.
