James LeBlanc, Angela Hacker ready to rock The Roxy with KGB this Saturday night

Rolling Stone magazine’s 2017 “Top 10 Country Artist to Get to Know” James LeBlanc to play at the Roxy

Loyal followers of Rolling Stone magazine are certainly aware of the magazine introducing its readers to new artists in various genres each month. Saturday night, March 10 , will find one of the highlighted country artists playing at the Roxy Theatre in downtown Russellville.

The July 2017 edition of the magazine listed James LeBlanc as one of the “Ten New Country Artists You Need to Know.” LeBlanc will be playing with Angela Hacker by his side. She has been well known in the Franklin County area for some time, even attending high school at Russellville High School after being born and raised in Muscle Shoals. Hacker is remembered well when she and her brother Zac Hacker both competed eleven years ago on a country music television show which featured a singing competition called “Nashville Star.”

Angela Hacker would win season five of the competition and earned a recording contract with Warner Brothers records. Both musicians are known locally as talented writers and as talented singers. In fact, LeBlanc, from Shreveport, Louisiana, has written songs for country music stars Jason Aldean, Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Martina McBride and a host of others.

As a multi-million selling hit songwriter, LeBlanc’s new album “Nature of the Beast” has been received enthusiastically by his many fans. LeBlanc and Hacker make a great team with their voices blending soulfully together on songs such as the beautiful “I Ain’t Easy to Love” and the powerful “Mean Right Hand." Tickets for the Roxy event are all general admission and cost $10.00. The doors will open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7.

The KGB will perform after LeBlanc and continue their ten-year tradition by “Rockin’ at the Roxy” on the second Saturday night of the month. The Roxy’s motto is “Where Memories are Made." Saturday night, March 10, with James LeBlanc and Angela Hacker as well as The KGB performing, memories will certainly be made.
