The Russellville City Schools Board of Education approved seven personnel moves at a short meeting held March 18th.
The board approved the recommendation from Superintendent Tim Guinn for the following moves: Retirement: Sandra Kennedy, West Elementary School custodian. Resignation: Emily Evans, resigned as cross country coach. Employment: Jamie Lane, substitute bus driver and Juana Diego, WES custodian. Temporary Employment: Raney Stone, student worker Park and Rec Dept., Kayden Headlee, lifeguard, Park and Rec Dept. Transfer: Sandy Goins, from WES custodian to Pre-K custodian.
Other agenda items approved by the board included:
---approved a facility use request for RHS Football Stadium and practice fields on June 26, 2025, for the RHS football team to host a 7 on 7/Big Man Competition.
--declared the old turf on the Russellville High School football field as surplus property.
--approved a bid of $171,333.00, the lowest responsible bid, from Clean Air Industries for self-contained, non-ventilated welding booth stations. The Clean Air bid was the lone bid received.
--approved a contract between Russellville City Schools Board of Education and BSN/UA Sports for a rewards program.
--recognized Mandy Odom for being named Teacher of the Year at the Franklin County Partnership Banquet.
The next regular meeting of the Russellville City Schools Board of Education will be April 15, 2025, at 8 a.m. Work session will be April 10, 2025, at 3:30 p.m.
