My name is Doug Aaron. I would like to introduce myself as a candidate for Franklin County Commissioner District Two. I am a long-time resident of Franklin County, and a 1975 graduate of Phil Campbell High School.
I have more than 25 years of experience with Construction Managing, design and site work 20-plus years with the Franklin County Water Authority as manager.
My job duties included supervising employees, seeking grants and working with officials at various levels of government. As the Water Authority's manager, I worked with a committee to bring Broadband into our county. The Water Authority holds statutory authority to bring Broadband internet to Franklin County. And we are accomplishing this through a team effort.
I would bring to the Franklin County Commission years of experience negotiating and managing service contracts with third party providers and delivering results, on budget and on time. I have many years as well conducting meetings with other members of management and employees.
I can clearly express my views, but also have the ability to understand other views and have an organized discussion to reach agreeable outcomes.
My goal is to work with other commissioners to develop plans for our county to move in a positive direction, but also to work to promote economic development so our children have the opportunity to reside in Franklin County and raise their families.
